Copyright Policy

Effective date: to be set at launch · Last updated: September 28, 2026

Draft — pending legal review. This policy is published for transparency while it is reviewed by US counsel. It may change before the service launches.

1. Your videos are yours

You keep ownership of the footage you upload and of the finished videos Ruzz delivers. Ruzz uses them only to provide the service, as described in our Terms of Service, and does not use them for its own marketing without your written permission.

2. Ruzz’s own material

The ruzz.app website, the Ruzz name and squirrel logo, page text, shot-plan formats and software are owned by Ruzz and may not be copied or reused without permission. Files you make with the free tools on ruzz.app are processed in your browser and belong to you.

3. Music and third-party material

4. Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe material on ruzz.app or delivered through Ruzz infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our copyright agent at info(a)ruzz.app (replace “(a)” with “@”) with the subject “Copyright notice”. Your notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed.
  3. Identification of the material you believe is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it (for example, a URL).
  4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

We respond to valid notices by removing or disabling access to the material and letting the account holder know.

5. Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include your signature; identification of the material and where it appeared before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Ruzz may be found) and to accept service from the person who sent the original notice. We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice unless the complainant tells us they have filed a court action.

6. Repeat infringers

Ruzz closes, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe others’ copyrights.

7. False claims

Under US law, anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. If you are unsure whether material infringes your rights, consider asking a lawyer before sending a notice.
