Privacy Policy
Effective date: to be set at launch · Last updated: September 27, 2026
1. Who we are
Ruzz (“Ruzz”, “we”, “us”) provides shot-plan scripts and short-form video editing through ruzz.app. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and the choices you have. Questions: use the Feedback page or email info(a)ruzz.app.
2. What we collect
- Account information — name, email address, password hash or Google sign-in identifier, plan and billing status. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy; we do not store card numbers.
- Business information you provide for a brief or script — business name, address, product or menu names, reference links, notes.
- Your footage and files — the video, audio and images you upload, the edits we produce, captions and thumbnails.
- Service records — order status, revision notes, support tickets, emails we send you.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, error logs. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
3. How we use it
- To write your script, edit your video and deliver it.
- To run your account, bill your plan and answer support requests.
- To send service emails: order received, in progress, first cut ready, revision done, files scheduled for deletion. Marketing email only with your separate opt-in, and text messages only with your separate written consent.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
We do not use your footage to train machine-learning models and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Who sees it
Your files are private to your account. Members of the Ruzz team access them only to perform the work you ordered, and that access is logged. We use service providers to run the service — cloud storage and hosting, authentication, payment processing, email delivery, and transcription and language-processing services that handle audio or text from your footage under contract. Your footage and finished videos are kept in private Cloudflare R2 storage located in the United States. Providers may process other data in the United States and other countries.
5. How long we keep it
- Raw footage, review proxies and unused music: deleted 7 days after you approve the final cut (or when the order is cancelled).
- Finished videos: available in My page for 10 days after approval, then deleted.
- Account and billing records: for as long as your account exists and as required by tax and accounting law afterwards.
- Support tickets and emails: up to 24 months.
6. Your choices and rights
You can access, correct or export your account data and delete your account from My page. Depending on where you live (including California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Requests can be made through the Feedback page; we verify requests using your account email and respond within the time the law requires.
7. Children
Ruzz is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, uploads go directly to private storage using short-lived signed links, only the Ruzz team members who need your files can reach them, and only after two-factor sign-in; every time staff download your footage it is logged. No method is perfect; if a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.
9. Cookies and browser storage
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and there are no third-party trackers on ruzz.app. When you sign in, your session is kept in your browser’s storage so you stay signed in. The free tools keep your most recent finished file in this browser (IndexedDB) until you press Delete — it never reaches us. You can clear both at any time in your browser’s settings.
10. Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above. Material changes will be announced by email to account holders.
